Creating Reality

Abstract image with blue tonesI believe we create everything we experience. The best results occur when we are in alignment with that which we desire to create from the heart, mental and physical aspects of ourselves. Intent and focus are the keys to the creation provess.  Placing oneself in the heart center, intending to create something and thereafter focusing on that which is intended will set the process in motion. The "I am" words are powerful and begin to engage what is desired.

After awakening in 2000 one of my goals was to experience God in this physical reality. I wanted to talk with him and ask all my questions. I set out to create a physical incarnation of God. I was asked over and over, in great detail, to describe what the “earthsuit” would look like. After a time, I did not see him and concluded that I just didn’t know how to make it happen. I still believed it was possible but felt that I just didn’t know how to bring it about.

A couple of months later, after morning aerobics I stopped at a coffee shop for a Latte. While I was standing in line there seemed to be a delay in getting to the counter and nothing was happening. I was tired and just wanted to get my coffee and leave. Then a man walked to the counter and picked up two coffees. On his way back, he stopped in front of me and smiled slightly, pleasantly. I noted that he remained standing there for a time. I didn’t know why. I did not know him and thought he must be smiling at someone nearby. I smiled back. Then he left.

Two nights later I sat straight up in bed and realized the person I had seen in the coffee shop was the exact physical incarnation of God in the earthsuitI had created in my mind, down to the clothes except that for some reason in the coffee shop I had looked down at his shoes and noticed he was wearing cowboy boots, which I had not intended. Other than that, he was exactly what I had created in my mind, only better. I would say, perfect. My happiness then turned to great sadness when it occurred to me that I had missed the very opportunity I had started out to experience, to make the connection and talk with God in physicality. In the months and years later, I had several similar experiences, but the individuals were never as close to the incarnation I had created and I couldn’t be sure if it was him. Each time, confusion and doubt emerged and I did not take action.

At a later time, I saw someone who was very close to what I called the coffee shop guy. I had gone to an electronics store to ask for advice about a computer matter. When I arrived, there was a man being waited on so I browsed while waiting for my turn. It seemed to be taking a long time. Then the individual came to me and we started talking about the computer issues we were having. I thought he looked similar to the coffee shop guy but a little older. He was wearing a gorgeous vest, it almost shimmered. I couldn’t tell if it was him or not. As he was leaving, he told the technician that he would be back in an hour. I decided to wait in my car. I can honestly say that I have never been so confused in my life. I simply could not think. I finally decided to leave because if he did not return, I would have been devastated.

There was another experience which occurred when I reported for jury duty. I was very upset at the thought of making a judgement about another’s actions. I asked God to be there in physical form to help me. On the morning of jury duty, while waiting outside with others I saw a man playing the guitar. He was singing spiritual songs. He looked very much like the incarnation I had created. He looked over at me and nodded. I knew God was there for me.

Later, there was an experience at a book signing. I asked God to be there in physical form. While waiting for the event to begin, a man came up to me and asked if the seat next to me was taken. I said it was not taken and he sat next to me. I remember thinking that seemed unusual because there were many empty seats in the room. He looked similar to my creation of God in physical form. I wasn’t sure and did not know what to say to him.

Another experience occurred when I joined a group that wished to explore spiritual concepts from the Conversations with God books. A man who had not attended before came to one of the meetings. The group leader focused directly on him and said that she had desired to experience God in physical form. She did not take her eyes off him and he continued to look at her directly. At the end of the meeting, he stayed with her. I was shocked that the very thing I had been trying to experience unfolded before my eyes. More confusion and bewilderment.

Trusting in advance that we have already received that which we called forth is powerful and enhances the creative process. In the year 2000 I wrote my intentions for my relationship with God; for others, living my daly life, my life intentions and spiritual goals, and my intentions for the world.

My Intentions for Our World

For our world, I choose that:

  • We progress beyond the notion of war and create a peaceful world community in which the taking of lives is no longer an option when dealing with our differences or disagreements.
  • We realize how painful and destructive racism and sexism are and instead learn to value, appreciate and celebrate our differences.
  • All animals are respected, protected, nurtured, their uniqueness treasured, and we have finally understood how much we can learn from them. They are teachers.
  • Medical advances yield the knowledge through which physical and emotional challenges and disease are conquered.
  • We assume responsibility for feeding and providing for one another and therefore hunger and poverty no longer exist.
  • We learn to effectively assist and redirect those who struggle within our society, rather than locking them in prisons.
  • The exploration of other worlds, galaxies and universes becomes a reality, and beyond the boundaries of our planet we represent well the noble values and positive qualities our species has it in us to be.
